Ireland Wyld Sister Tour

May 26 - June 2, 2025

8-Day Spiritual Journey

Please be aware that this itinerary may be subject to change due to fairy intervention and the whimsical way of Ireland. We are on an adventure, and sometimes things change unexpectedly. Know that it is all part of the magickal journey we are taking together. These are our best-laid plans, and there are always bonus activities!

DAY ONE – Monday, May 26th

Hill of Tara & Newgrange: We begin our adventure by heading north to explore the prehistoric monuments of the Hill of Tara, Newgrange, and Knowth. Experience a guided tour of these renowned sites, delving into Ireland's ancient history.

  • Hill of Tara

Explore the historical and spiritual landmarks, the seat of power of the High Kings. We will also gather at a Holy Well for a welcome ceremony.

  • Newgrange & Knowth

We will explore the remarkable Neolithic passage tombs of Newgrange and Knowth. Take time to reflect and connect with the spirits of the past.

  • Trim Castle

Conclude the day with a guided tour of Trim Castle, immersing ourselves in its medieval history and mystique.

  • Accommodation

After a fulfilling day, settle into our accommodations in Trim for a restful evening.

DAY TWO – Tuesday, May 27th

  • Hill of the Witch

Depart from Trim and embark on a 2-hour spiritual tour of Sliabh na Caillig Loughcrew. Delve into the mystical significance of this ancient site.

  • Temple House

Drive to Temple House, settle in, and explore the grounds. Temple House has been the home of the Perceval family for over 350 years. Nestled in the idyllic surroundings of a 1,000-acre private Sligo estate, including a 12th-century castle by the lake that has connections to the Knights Templars. We will have the whole manor to our group. Such a wonderful treat! It feels like you are stepping back in time.

  • Accommodation

Temple House will be our home for three nights.

DAY THREE – Wednesday, May 28th

  • Tobernalt Healing Well

Visit this sacred well, that existed long before Christianity arrived in Ireland in the fifth century. This is where the old ones would gather and celebrate the sabbat festival Lughnasa (beginning of the harvest season).

  • Parkes Castle

This is always a lovely stop, as this three storeys tall castle, sits on an idyllic setting on the banks of Lough Gill.

  • Glencar Waterfall

We make our way to the famous Glencar Waterfall, a magickal place that inspired Yeats’ poem “The Stolen Child.”

  • Drumcliffe

We will then stop in Drumcliffe to visit the grave of William Butler Yeats, and visit the quaint gift and coffee shop there.

  • Creevykeel Tombs

We will stop at Creevykeel Court Tomb, the largest court cairn in Ireland.

  • Mullaghmore Head Loop

Enjoy a scenic drive or cycle around Mullaghmore Head, stopping at Castle Classiebawn Viewpoint.

  • Temple House

Relax and unwind at Temple House. Optional Brighid Cross Creation

DAY FOUR – Thursday, May 29th

  • Knocknarea

Today we will head out for a hike up Queen Maeve’s mountain, Knocknarea, for your own personal ceremony at her cairn on top of the mountain, where you will honour her with your stone brought from home to be placed atop her grave.  The locals have a joke that you bring a stone from your home country to either honour her, or to help keep her in the ground! Queen Maeve was buried standing upright in full battle armour facing her enemies to the north in Ulster.  She was a force to be reckoned with, and we will honour this spirit of strength and tenacity in ourselves.

  • Fairy Glen

Next, we will visit the Fairy Glen, a beautiful and hidden natural limestone glen at the foot of Knocknarea, to connect with the nature spirits of the land.

  • Strandhill

Walk along the beach, enjoy the sand dunes and crashing waves, and connect with the power of the sea. Optional seaweed baths available.

  • Return to Temple House

Participate in an evening ceremony at the Knights of Templar Castle

DAY FIVE – Friday, May 30th

  • Caves of Kesh

We bade farewell to Templehouse and headed to the Caves of Kesh. These mystical limestone caves offer spectacular views. According to Irish mythology, the caves of Kesh were believed to be an entrance to the Otherworld, and you can certainly feel that vibe. One story tells how Fionn mac Cumhaill, the head of the Fianna, was enchanted by three witches along with a troop of his men while on a hunt. These caves are exactly our kind of place!

  • Westport

Travel to Westport, where we will visit theWestport House, one of County Mayo’s best loved attractions. Considered a national treasure, discover over 300-years of history at Westport House in ‘Ireland’s Most Beautiful Home.’ Its legendary beginnings date back to Pirate Queen of Connacht Grace O’Malley, whose castle forms the foundations of Westport House.

  • Accommodation

After a fulfilling day, settle into our accommodations in Westport for a restful evening.

DAY SIX – Saturday, May 31st

  • Kylemore Abbey

We bade farewell to Wesport and we will make a stop and visit Kylemore Abbey, a 19th-century mansion featuring an exquisite chapel and reception rooms. Known initially as Kylemore Castle, it was built between 1863 and 1868 as a private residence for the Mitchell Henry family. The Abbey is the oldest of the Irish Benedictine Abbeys and has a beautiful love story associated with it.

  • Galway

Arrive in Galway, check into our accommodations, and enjoy free time to explore this bohemian city with a love of traditional music – Galway is hard to resist. The spirit of Ireland’s west coast beats through the bustling streets, from mellow old pubs boasting turf and cozy corners to shops selling Claddagh rings, Aran sweaters and bog-oak carvings.

DAY SEVEN – Sunday, June 1st

  • Poulnabrone Dolmen

The Poulnabrone dolmen is probably the most photographed of all the megalithic monuments to be found in Ireland. It is certainly one of the most beautiful and graceful of the Irish portal dolmens; with it's elegant soaring capstone the monument has often been compared to a bird in flight. Visit this ancient site, walk around, and experience its calming energy.

  • Cliffs of Moher

Ireland's Most Famous Landmark — Walk in the Footsteps of Giants. One Stunning Site Leads To Another. Marvel at the stunning views and natural beauty of the cliffs.

  • Doolin

Explore this charming village.

  • Return to Galway

Relax and prepare for an evening out. Wyld Sister pub night out!

We bade Galway farewell and make our way to a sacred holy well. At the healing well, we will have a short farewell ceremony to mark the completion of our magickal journey together.

  • Kilbeggan Distillery

Take a tour of this historic distillery. Ireland's oldest continuously licensed distillery, with a compelling story dating back to 1757. During the tour, you will be guided through an incredible history from 1757 to the present day. You'll learn about the unique distillation process in their fully operational distillery and hear the fascinating story behind  Ctesiphon Warehouse. And what would an Irish tour be without a visit to a whiskey distillery?

  • Return to Dublin

Arrive at Dublin Airport in the afternoon for our final goodbyes.

Testimonials

"I was very resistant to taking this trip for a lot of the usual excuses we tell ourselves, "too much money to spend on myself, don't want to travel without my hubby, fear of the unknown, I don't know anyone, may not be my kind of thing, I'd rather go ...".  Well, so grateful Gillian finally convinced me to take the leap!!!  This trip was a "dream come true" trip!  Ireland is truly a magical, historical, beautiful, women power kind of place.  From the pick up at the airport to the drop off it was so memorable.  Our manor house accommodations were so amazing, the staff and the grounds truly felt like home with so much to explore and the food was gourmet, I ate things that I never would have tried before and loved everything.  Each day we went on a new adventure, very hesitant to participate at first but by the end, I was all in!  Our bus driver was an excellent historian and storyteller along with being a great driver.  If you are thinking you could do Ireland at a better price on your own, let me tell you, you can't, this was a first-class tour with a very small number of wonderful people!  Just Do It!!  You won't regret it!"
