Samhain Silent Supper
Join Us for the Wyld Sister Tribe Potluck
Are you ready for an evening of magick and connection? This gathering is for my beautiful community that I so cherish. I love how it continues to evolve and grow into something incredibly impactful and powerful! This is a wonderful opportunity for us to all come together, celebrate the season, eat, and cackle. This gathering will be a special potluck featuring a Silent Supper (a.k.a dumb super) to honour and commune with our ancestors during Samhain.
A Silent Supper is a sacred ritual meal held in complete silence, originating from ancient Celtic traditions, particularly associated with Samhain. This ritual allows participants to honour and commune with their ancestors. The silence throughout the meal is a mark of respect and creates a deep, reflective space, inviting the spirits of those who have passed to join us in this magickal celebration. It is a time for introspection, connection, and honouring the lineage that came before us.

-
Dance with Ancestors: End the evening by dancing under the stars, celebrating life and the presence of our ancestors.
-

Volunteers Needed:
I will need some help with decorating, setting up tables, and such, most likely the night before (I have to check in with the hall). If you're available to assist, please let me know. Your help would be greatly appreciated and ensures the evening goes smoothly and magickally.

Important Considerations:
-
Meal Planning: Consider creating a dish with local produce or a special family recipe. Each dish has a story, and these stories enrich our communal meal.
-
Understanding the Ritual: Ensure you understand the nature of the Silent Supper. The silence can feel long and heavy, often deepening as the meal progresses. I will signal the start and end of silence clearly.
I will send out a reminder email with more information closer to the date.
I look forward to sharing this night of magick, reflection, and connection with my sisters. Let's come together to honour our ancestors and celebrate the magick of Samhain.
Looking forward to sharing this sacred space with you!
Blessed Be,
Gillian
